We are a thriving social rugby club which draws its membership from the local area and across London. Footscray has been active for more than 35 years and still retains some of the original members. We have made our home in New Eltham for 10 years, going from strength to strength. Our 22-acre ground supports the local community offering a large array of sports such as football, cricket, yoga, and also hosts Footscray RUFC. We pride ourselves on being an open friendly club and have in the past been voted the “Friendliest Club in Kent” by the Kent Referees Society. Whilst other teams have been reducing in size we have expanded running 3 men’s side, a very successful women’s team and a mini rugby section. The club is an RFU member club. The social club that runs our ground has facilities second to none in the area. The National Lottery and Sport England funded the £1 million clubhouse. It is a two-story building with large bar and balcony overlooking the 1st XV pitch.
